Some modern scholars do not believe in the second coming of Jesus. They do not consider the stance of Jesus (PBUH) being taken alive to the heavens and then being kept alive thereafter as correct. In this regard, they interpret the relevant Qur’anic verses in various ways and deem the general interpretations contrary to language conventions. As far as hadiths are concerned, they do not accept the attribution of these narrations to Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. They call these hadiths fabrications by people and consider them the result of external ideas.
